The Worthington Public Library building at 805 Hartford (located at the corner of Hartford and Stafford Streets) opened in 1979. This program from the dedication contains a timeline of library service in the community of Worthington, which began in 1803. Also included are photographs of the library and floor plans, as well as an insert that lists the architect, contractor, furniture supplier and other details about the building. The opening gala was a community celebration with live music, children's entertainment, theater and dance performances, art exhibits, and film presentations.
