Background

The Old Rectory is pictured, loaded onto a flatbed truck in preparation for its move across old Worthington from Hartford St. to W. New England Ave. The building, constructed in 1845, was originally located next to St. John's Episcopal Church on the southeast quadrant of the Village Green, serving as a rectory. It has been moved twice, first to 799 Hartford and then to 50 W. New England Avenue. It now serves as offices, exhibit space, and gift shop for the Worthington Historical Society.
