Background

This coin commemorates the Bicentennial of New England Lodge No. 4 of Worthington, Ohio. The Lodge was granted a charter by the Grand Lodge of Connecticut on October 19, 1803 (originally constituted as New England Lodge No. 48). Thirteen men of the Scioto Company who migrated from Connecticut to the Ohio frontier to settle the Village of Worthington were Master Masons.
