Virginia (Jennie) McCormick, docent at the Worthington Historical Society's Orange Johnson House, is seen here talking to third grade students as part of "Third Grade Weeks" or "Pioneer Days." Each year, the Historical Society hosts all of the third grade classes in the Worthington School District during the month of May for a field trip that includes a visit to the house museum. Here Jennie is standing in front of the cooking fireplace in the home's 1811 kitchen, holding a horn scoop similar to that which could have been made by the homeowner from 1816 to 1862, hornsmith Orange Johnson.
