Topic: Worthington Memory website

From its earliest version, launched in 2002, through two subsequent redesigns, the Worthington Memory website has been the digital home of Worthington, Ohio's history. A collaborative project between Worthington Libraries, Worthington Historical Society and numerous community groups, the website aims to connect users to their hometown history.

From the beginning, the site has featured digitized images, text, audio and video from Worthington's history, contributed by dozens of community groups and individuals, along with a newspaper index and burial records from Worthington's three cemeteries. A redesign of the site in 2015 introduced new tools and features, allowing for enhanced connection-making and discovery. Special attention was given to producing a standardized list of people and organizations.

The most recent redesign, introduced in late 2025, continues to enhance connection-making, revealing relationships between family members as well as addresses for people and organizations. Community leaders such as mayors and city managers can be tagged, and newspaper index entries can be added to the map of Worthington, along with scrapbook items.
