Weldon L. Plants, age 74, of Powell, Saturday December 4, 1993 at home. Retired Lt. Colonel U.S. Army with 33 1/2 years service. Survived by wife, Eleanor L. Plants; son, Len (Marcia) Plants of Cincinnati; grandson, Cary (Laura) Plants, Powell; step-brother, Bob Dewees; step-sister, Jane Smith. Member of Worthington Christian Church. Ex-POW's, Amity Lodge #5 F&AM, Zanesville, Ohio, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Valley of Columbus, AASR, VW Port #3496 DAV and the Battler of Normandy Foundation. Funeral Service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington where friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Masonic Service 8:30 p.m. Dr. Marshall Hayden and James Dempsey officiating. Burial Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
