Thomas Phillips, age 64, June 9, 1981, Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired from the US Post Office, Worthington Branch. Veteran of WWII. Preceded in death by brother, Melvin Phillips. Survived by wife, Thelma; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and James Brooke, of Olney, MD.; grandsons, James, Eric and Jon David Brooke; sister, Ruther Gabel, Worthington; sister-in-law, Virginia Shupp; several nieces and nephews. Member of the New England Lodge 4 F&AM, Worthington United Methodist Church. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Dr. W. Edge Dixon officiating. Friends received at the funeral home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Masonic service to be in the funeral home 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.
