A. Deane Phinney, age 79, Route 1, Harbor Hills, Hebron, Ohio. Monday, at home. Retried assistant road foreman of engines for the Pennsylvania Railroad. Survived by wife, Grace H.; sons, Foster H. Phinney of Woodland Hills, California, George J. Phinney, Worthington, Ohio; mother, Mrs. Laura M. Phinney, Newark, Ohio; granddaughter, Melinda Phinney, Worthington. Member First Community Church, Hebron, Ohio, Mystic Tie Lodge No. 194 F&AM, AASR, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine. Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday, the Rutherford-Corbin Chapel, 515 High Street, Worthington. Rev. Edward H. Baldwin officiating. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
