This is a photograph of high school students in November of 1896. The students stand in front of Worthington High School. Several of the students have been identified. Front row (left) Carrie Vest, and (third from left) Edith Case. Second row standing (second from left) Miss Star, teacher, (eighth, ninth, tenth from left) Bess Flickenger, Ida Pinney, Catherine Dyer, and (far right) Claudia Fuller. Third row (seventh from left) David Welling. Worthington High School was built in 1893 in order to accommodate increasing numbers of students in Worthington. It was located on East Granville Road where Kilbourne Middle School now stands. Following the construction of the Packard Annex in 1916, the Worthington High School building was used as an elementary school.
