Worthington F. Griswold

Background
Worthington Franklin Griswold (b. 1842, d. 1912) was a civil engineer and was prominent in public affairs in the Worthington. He served on the board of education, was Justice of the Peace, and held the position of Mayor from 1896 to 1902. He was the only son of George Harlow Griswold and the grandson of Ezra Griswold, one of the founders of Worthington. Worthington Griswold married Fondelia Ruth Griswold, daughter of Rev. Peter Stout Ruth in 1863. They raised a family of fourteen children in Worthington.
