Wedding Attendees in Fireplace Area at the Old Worthington Library

Pictured in this color photograph are attendees gathered and seated in upholstered chairs by the fireplace area on the main floor of the Old Worthington Library for librarian Rachel Alexander's wedding, May 8, 1982. Closest to the camera are Ron Branch and librarian Susan Branch, and behind them a group of four people are eating while a fifth person stands and plays violin behind a music stand. A harpsichord is in front of the fireplace.

At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.

Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.

Susan Branch worked at the library from 1979 to 2007, and served, among other roles, as a librarian, lead librarian and collection development manager.
