School Children
Basic details
Background
This 1892 photograph of school children was taken at the east door of Worthington School. Those identified in the photograph are (back row left) Frank Welling and Jennie Lichliter, (second row, far right) Edith Case, Burt Falkner ("tall boy" in second row), and Ray Hiser (in window). Worthington School, built in 1874, was located on the northeast quadrant of the Village Green facing Granville Road. Elementary and high school grades were taught at that location until a separate high school was built directly to the east of Worthington School in 1893.
