Background

This program is from the 1915 commencement exercises for the five students at Linworth Grammar School. The program took place at the Linworth Methodist Episcopal Church. Students who graduated were Ollie Mae Smith, Eleanor Hussey, John Brown, Marion Doughty and Mildred Fout. The superintendent is listed as "F. C. Fickell", presumably Henry C. Fickell, who was Worthington School Superintendent from 1911 to 1921. The final page of the program contains an ad for Heaton Music Store, 231 N. High Street. The Linworth Grammar School preceded the North Perry School, now home to the Linworth Alternative Program, which was built in 1918.
