Background

This photograph of Edward "Miles" McCullough (b. 1883, d. 1949) is from the scrapbook of his wife Harriet Griswold McCullough with photographs from 1915. Miles and his family lived at 202 East Granville Road around the time of this photograph. Also pictured are his two sons, Edward Griswold McCullough (b. 1908, d. 1982) and John Morton McCullough (b. 1911, d. 1942).

In adulthood, John Morton was employed as a motorcycle patrolman for the Columbus Police Department and, at the age of thirty, killed in the line of duty after an accident with another vehicle. He is buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
