Background
Joan Moore, Worthington Historical Society docent, is pictured in the dining room of the Orange Johnson House Museum during its dedication. The grand opening celebration took place October 6-8, 1972.
The Orange Johnson House represented the successful effort of the Worthington Historical Society to save a local landmark. Having failed in the preservation of the Griswold Inn, the Society took steps to save the Orange Johnson House beginning in 1962. Their efforts have given the community an invaluable resources over the years.
