Background

The Orange Johnson House Museum is pictured here with one of four village markers that were donated by the Worthington Women's Club. Four markers were placed near the entrances to old Worthington (north, south, east and west). This marker is the one at the north end of old Worthington and stands on the west side of High Street across from the Orange Johnson House. Four designs were created, including St. John's Episcopal Church, a covered wagon, Griswold Inn and Worthington Academy by a well-know iron worker.
