Background

This obituary for Mary Kilbourn Buttles Knight (b. 1834, d. 1860) appeared in the Auburn Daily Advertiser, where she lived for the last two years of her life. Mary, daughter of Arora Buttles (b. 1791, d. 1864) and Harriet Kilbourn Case Buttles (b. 1795, d. 1866) was a native of Worthington. The family moved to Cleveland in 1845. Mary relocated to Auburn, New York with her husband E. G. Knight.
