Background

This photograph of local merchant Adolphus Tuller (b. 1829, d. 1914) and his wife Martha (Brown) Tuller (b. 1837, d. 1910) was taken at their residence, 656 Morning Street. Adolphus, son of Jonathan and Elmira Tuller, was born in Delaware County, Ohio and moved to Worthington. Martha was the daughter of Sidney and Anna Hart Brown.

The Tuller family were prominent in central Ohio, with several branches settling in Sharon and Perry townships and Delaware county. Flavel Tuller came to Worthington from Connecticut, arriving in 1804.
