This view looking south from the center of Main Street (now High Street) shows the Second Methodist Church on the on the left and the interurban rail tracks.
The Columbus, Delaware and Marion Interurban was an important impetus to Worthington's growth as a suburb. People could travel quickly from downtown Columbus to Marion. Interurbans were an integral and efficient part of public transportation. In many major cities, they are still in use.
