Background
This photograph of Harriet "Hattie" Griswold Mc Cullough (b. 1868, d. 1947) is from the scrapbook she kept with photographs from 1915. Harriet was one of fourteen children born to Worthington Franklin and Fondelia Griswold. She was raised in the Griswold Inn. As a young woman she was a teacher in New Mexico for a time with her sister Mary Griswold Coleman. She and her husband Edward "Miles" McCullough lived at 202 East Granville Road around the time this photograph was taken and later at 167 East South Street where a September 11th, 1947 Worthington News article mentions that the couple, along with son Edward, operated the Eldridge School.
