This color photograph shows six people laughing, leaning against and reclining on chairs at the Old Worthington Library on May 8, 1982. They are there for librarian Rachel Alexander's wedding, which took place in the library. Bookshelves are visible in the background, and the fireplace area is just off-camera in the upper right.

At the time, the Old Worthington Library was the only location of Worthington Libraries. Alexander's wedding to Bob Foulk took place that evening after the library closed, with food provided by staff and Worthington mayor Lawrence Braun serving as officiant.

Alexander worked for Worthington Libraries from 1976 to 1985, and again from 1997 to 2008; during that time she served many roles, including community services librarian, children’s librarian, youth services manager and youth services materials selector.
