Background

This sketch by Margaret Kingery O'Brien was created in 1931 for the book "Shedding Light on Worthington", published by the Woodrow Guild of the First Presbyterian Church of Worthington, Ohio. A second edition of the book was published in 1953 for Worthington's Sesquicentennial celebration. This sketch depicts the Griswold Inn which was located on High Street north of the northeast quadrant of the Village Green. This view is from the High Street side and shows the old stage coach entrance. Margaret Kingery O'Brien (b. 1895, d. 1975) was a member of the Worthington Women's Club and the Woodrow Guild.
