Griswold Inn
Basic details
Background
The Griswold Inn is pictured here. Built in 1811 adjacent to the northeast quadrant of the Village Green, it was a popular site of social gatherings and provided a convenient lodging location for travelers due to its location near the intersection of Rt. 161 and Rt. 23. It was razed in 1964, despite community efforts to save it.
