First Graduation Class, Dublin, Ohio

The first graduating class of Dublin High School, 1899 is pictured; (standing left to right) Milo Eberly, Charles Shipman, Leonard Leppert, Carl Karrer, (sitting left to right) Harry Price, Samuel Price (Principal), and George Wing (Sr.). Annotation on the back of the photograph reads; "All of High School graduation class shown here except Basil Brown. He had his hair shortly clipped a short time before and he refused to pose. We thought he did it on purpose... George and I [Leonard Leppert] are the only ones living at this date (March 4, 1963)."

Superintendent Samuel T. Price also taught in other Franklin County schools, including Linworth in Sharon Township. Harry Price operated a general store in Dublin. George Wing Sr. became an electrical contractor and moved to Worthington. His son, George Wing Jr. would become mayor of Worthington. Leonard Leppert went on to work in the Columbus offices of the Hocking Valley Railway. Leppert's son Frank and his family would settle in Worthington.
