This planting design was created for the celebration of the nation's bicentennial in 1976. Seven local garden clubs were assigned a flower bed on the west side of High Street. Annuals were planted in the color of red (Salvia or Celosia), white (Alyssum), and blue (Ageratum). Flowers were funded by the Downtown Action Committee.
