Background
Kathryn Simonds of the Columbus School for Girls writes in regards to a visit to an event arranged by the Personality Club of Worthington, in which she spoke on "The Importance of Manners in Every Day Life." Miss Simonds also taught dance classes for the Personality Club of Worthington, which later became the Worthington Activity Club. The Personality Club was formed in 1937 to "bring all new opportunities for social activities, with the accent on personality development – not to entertain, but to stimulate correct thinking about social problems, to strengthen personalities, over come shyness and eliminate class distinctions."
