The Chronicle
Vol. X, No. 10
Basic details
Background
Coinciding with Black History Week, this edition features several front-page articles about related issues. One prints the answers of several students to the question "Do you feel that there is a racial problem in the school?" Another weighs the arguments for integrating black studies into American history courses or creating a separate course and another written by a member of the school’s Race Relations Club. The front page also includes details about the school’s winter carnival and March production of the musical "Oklahoma."
The inside pages include lighter content: a senior spotlight, a poem, an advice column and an article sharing the results of a student survey. There are two tongue-in-cheek pieces. One offers suggestions about how students can get the most from their high school education and an editorial is a not-so-subtle plea for a Worthington recreation center.
Page four includes coverage of the school’s basketball, wrestling and track teams.
