Police Chiefs
From 1835 through 1957, Worthington's chief law enforcement official was known as the "marshal." In December 1957, the title "Chief of Police" was created by city ordinance. Chief Edward J. Lewis was serving as marshal at the time, and became Worthington's first official police chief.
