This is a deed for purchase of a frame house in Worthington by George Harlow Griswold from Zenas Ross. The house was sold for $55.00 in 1824, "a few rods east of the burying ground". A rod is a unit of measurement equal to 16.5 feet, or 5.5 yards. The location of the property was most likely several yards east of St. John's Cemetery behind St. John's Episcopal Church of Worthington on Dublin Granville Road. Zenas Ross is listed as a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in its first record book. George H.
