OSBORN Everett Eugene Osborn, age 88, of Columbus, died Friday, July 14, 2000 at St. Ann's Hospital. Retired Chief Administrative Officer for the Ohio State Board of Optometry. Preceded in death by parents Everett and Nellie Osborn. Survived by wife of 62 years, Darleene R. Osborn; sons, Donald L. (Judith) Osborn, Columbus & John E. (Barbara) Osborn, Villa Hills, Ky.; grandchildren, Kimberly E. Osborn, Columbus, and Kevin L (Cydney) Osborn, Florida; sister, Eunice M. (Robert) Byler, Wilmington, Oh.; niece, Linda (Marlin) Newman. Member of Worthington United Methodist Church, Graduate of Wilmington College in 1934, US navy veteran of WWII, Life member of VFW Post #6710, Wilmington and Wilmington Lodge #52, F.&A.M. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2000 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High Street, Worthington, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
