Richard M. (Dick) Barton, of Clintonville, born October 26, 1917 on Columbus St. in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Friday, Jue 25, 1993, Mayfair Village Nursing Center. Survived by wife, Dorothy; sons, Lawrence R. (Donna) of Akron, Oh., Donald H. of Minneapolis, Minn.; daugher, Elaine Gairston (Alan) of Worthington, Oh.; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Veteran WW II, U.S. Coast Guard. Graduate of South High School and Capital University. He formerly taught at Hilliard High School. Retired from the Borden Co. Member of Maple Grove U.M. Church, where he sang in the choir for 40 years, and S.P.E.B.O.S. in America. Volunteer, Riverside Hospital and former volunteer of Meals on Wheels. Friends may call at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home 4341 N. High St. Sunday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Private interment Walnut Grove Cemetery Monday a.m. Memorial Service Monday, June 28, 3 p.m., Maple Grove Church. Rev. Joel Baer and Louis Bell officiating.
