Obituary

Katharyn "Kay" Becker Smith, a longtime resident of Worthington and Upper Arlington, passed away Saturday, September 26, 1998. She was a graduate of the University of Rochester and was the owner of the 1804 House in Worthington. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard C. Smith in 1986 and sister Elizabeth Villnow Darch. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Stephen F. and Peggy A. Smith, Douglas C. and Maxine Smith, all of Worthington; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Frederick and Kay Becker of Rochester, N.Y. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Ocotber 10, 1998 at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd. , where friends may call 1 hour prior to service from 1-2 p.m. Rev. Edge Dixon will officiate. A private inurnment will be held for the family at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowrs, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
